Jewish treasures in the garage

I knew about an apartment on Pravda Street in Moscow, Russia.  The owner of a parking area under the apartment secretly stored money and jewels there in 1970th.

He was a famous scientist and leader of the Jewish community in Moscow. He was entrusted with the safekeeping of these treasures to finance the emigration to Israel of the  poorest members of the Jewish community.
